Godwin Developments Continues its National Growth with Commercial Investment in Cambridgeshire

Ketan Patel and John Maxey on site - Wisbech

GODWIN DEVELOPMENTS, a leading national property developer, has secured another large roadside site on Cromwell Road, Wisbech.

The site of just under 9 acres, located on the outskirts of the Georgian market town known locally as the capital of the fens, has been granted permission for a range of commercial uses including roadside services, hotel, a petrol filling station, a pub, a gym and offices.

Ketan Patel, development manager at Godwin Developments said: “We are delighted to have secured another roadside development site – The site sits in a prominent location along the A47 and Cromwell Road leading into Wisbech. The A47 is located East of Peterborough connecting Norfolk and the East Coast to central England. We have identified this location as a key strategic point in the road network for the region.

John Maxey, Senior Partner of Maxey Grounds & Co, selling agents for the vendors commented, “I am pleased to see further investment in Wisbech, which continues to grow as an important market town serving the Fenland area. It is anticipated that the development will provide significant additional employment, as well as a range of business premises for the area in a prominent and very accessible location.”

The site is the latest project to be added to the Godwin Developments portfolio which already contains a diverse range of commercial, residential, and mixed-use property assets in key regional locations.

This announcement regarding the purchase of the Wisbech site follows an exciting first half of the year for Godwin Group. In July they received planning for a Student scheme in Derby and outline planning for a roadside development in Northamptonshire.
