The Bendigo Building, Nottingham
A contemporary amenity-led student accommodation scheme in central Nottingham
Nottingham's Former Royal Mail Sorting Office Acquired
In June 2020 Godwin Developments announced the acquisition of one of Nottingham's most prominent buildings - the former Royal Mail sorting office. Fronting Brook Street and Bath Street, the site is located in the Creative Quarter of the city. It is just six minutes' walk from Nottingham City Centre, in close proximity to both universities and Nottingham train station. The development will be named the Bendigo Building in memory of the former Nottingham bare-knuckle fighter William 'Bendigo' Thompson, whose memorial is situated nearby.

Godwin Developments has recently submitted proposals for the development of a contemporary 692 unit student living scheme (PBSA) on the site of the former Royal Mail shorting office. Situated next to St. Mary's Rest Gardens and Victoria Park in the Creative Quarter, the development - named the Bendigo Building - includes a mix of studios, four, five and six bedroom clusters and disabled accommodation, as well as comprehensive in-door and out-door amenities. It also incorporates 6 car parking and 312 cycle storage spaces as well as two commercial units situated on the ground floor.
