The Landmark, Derby
Derby's first Build-To-Rent scheme and one of the tallest buildings in the city
900 Jobs to be Created
The Landmark, set to be built by Godwin Developments, would create 900 jobs if given the go-ahead by city planners, according to an assessment by planning agents, Cushman and Wakefield. Once operational, the development will also deliver between 10 to 15 full-time jobs. The Build-To-Rent (BTR) scheme, which is aimed at young professionals, will contain just over 200 apartments with onsite facilities such as a gym, residents lounge and concierge service.
Planning Granted by Derby City Council
Councillors have agreed the Section 106 arrangements for The Landmark, which will see Godwin contribute towards flood defences, trees and a traffic preservation order. According to the district valuer for an inner-city regeneration scheme of this kind, Godwin are contributing more than the suggested amount, supporting significant improvements to public realm.
