Cathedral Green, Ely, Cambridgeshire

In June 2020 Godwin Developments secured a 4.92-acre site in a gateway location in the Cambridgeshire city of Ely. The business intended to redevelop the land, which has stood vacant for more than a decade, and bring it back into community use through the creation of a modern residential scheme.

In March 2021, Godwin Developments submitted a full planning application for a 4.92-acre site situated on Angel Drove in Ely. Named Cathedral Green, the suburban BTR development will contain 57 two- and three-bedroom properties with private gardens, 59 one- and two-bedroom low rise apartments with balconies, as well as 122 resident and guest parking spaces and 1,457 sq. m. of flexible office space. Property development company Godwin Developments has been granted planning consent by East Cambridgeshire County Council for the construction of a scheme of 78 single-family homes. Cathedral Green in Ely will be built using modern methods of construction, securing reduced bills for residents, faster on-side delivery and wider environmental benefits.
